''Born Again Savage'' is the fifth and final solo album by Little Steven released in 1999. The album was a return to the raw, garage rock sound of his second album, ''Voice of America''. The main topic of the album is religion. U2 bassist Adam Clayton and Led Zeppelin drummer Jason Bonham are featured on all 10 tracks.〔McShane, Larry. "(Little Steven Takes on Religion With New Rock 'n' Roll Album )", Amarillo, 4 Nov. 1999. This album would mark the final solo album for Little Steven when he returned to play for Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band for good. ==Background== ''Born Again Savage'' was written in 1989-1990. It was recorded in 1994, but the record company refused it. It was released when Little Steven started his own record label, Renegade Nation. It was available only through Little Steven's website and was not sold in stores. There was a promotional edit of "Camouflage of Righteousness" available through mp3.com. The edit version was 4:36; the album version is 5:01. Not as many copies of the album were sold as expected.〔"(U2 Discography - Born Again Savage Album / Little Steven )", U2 Wanderer, 1995-2007.
